By booking with THE PARTY PUPPETS you are agreeing with these terms and conditions.
Please be aware that all our correspondence will be by email so please check your inbox (and spam folder).
An advanced booking deposit is required for ALL bookings.
This is a non-refundable fee that secures the date and time of your booking.
The deposit must be paid by the due date specified in either the booking email or invoice to secure ( & avoid cancellation of) your booking.
Under certain circumstances, payment of the full performance fee is required when booking. If a booking is made within 14 days of the event date a deposit is not required. In this case, full payment must be finalised on or before the due date specified in either the booking email or invoice.
Payment must be finalised BEFORE your event to avoid cancellation. This means full payment must be in THE PARTY PUPPETS account before the event date. Clients who receive an invoice are required to pay by the due date (usually 7 days prior to the show).
Dates and times will remain available to other clients until the deposit is paid into THE PARTY PUPPETS account.
Payment of the outstanding balance must be made on or before the due date. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of your booking and loss of the deposit WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE. THE PARTY PUPPETS bears no responsibility in following up non payment.
Please note that some transfers may take up to 48 hours to be cleared into the account. Please take account of this when scheduling payment.
Payments, for both the booking deposit and the balance of the total performance fee, are required to be paid via Electronic Funds Transfer. THE PARTY PUPPETS may provide alternate means of payment.
For electronic transfers, we require an email from the client stating transfer has been made. The client may email a bank receipt but payment will be NOT be considered to have been made until cleared into THE PARTY PUPPETS account.
No services will be provided if outstanding money has not been paid on or before the due date.
Corporate event bookings will be emailed an invoice outlining event details and payment options and payment due date. Failure to pay any required deposit, or outstanding balance by the due date will result in automatic cancellation of the booking.
Quotes for events are valid for a period of 7 days from the date of the quote.
THE PARTY PUPPETS performance and equipment has been designed to to be adaptable to a variety of performance situations. Generally an area of about 3m x 3m is ideal with an area in front for the children to sit.
The area for the performance should be in full shade for the duration of the performance. The health & safety of our performers is paramount and the performance WILL NOT take place in full sun. THE PARTY PUPPETS can provide a gazebo shelter for the performance at the additional cost of $50.
As the show has music and voice amplification access to a powerpoint or extension cord for the sound equipment is preferred.
THE PARTY PUPPETS usually start the show 30 minutes after the start of the party, or at a time agreed by THE PARTY PUPPETS and the cient.
Adult supervision (over 18) of children is required at all times during set up/take down and performance.
The safety of the guests at the venue is the responsibility of the client.
There must be a designated supervising adult present for the duration of the party/event. Parents/Guardians are responsible for the general supervision & conduct of the party children. For safety reasons you must provide 1 designated adult for every 20 children to assist with group supervision.
The client is responsible for all the children attending the party and must ensure they behave in the proper manner at all time. In the event of a child behaving in an unacceptable manner or where the behaviour may compromise the safety of others or the smooth running of the entertainment THE PARTY PUPPETS, may ask you to remove the child from the activities in order to minimise the disruption to the entertainment provided.
If at any time the performer feels threatened in any way or is subject to discrimination in any form the performer has the right to leave the venue without providing full service. The performance fee will be forfeited by the client.
The performer has the right to display or hand out promotional material.
Throughout all of our parties, entertainers will often take images, or videos that will be stored on our database to be used on the web page and promotional content. If you do not want photos taken by THE PARTY PUPPETS please inform us at any time throughout the booking process.
Please inform THE PARTY PUPPETS if you are having any other entertainment acts alongside our service.
THE PARTY PUPPETS is not bound by, and does not accept, explicitly or by implication any restrictive covenants or requirements on future performances. This includes any proposed restrictions on venue, client, type of performance, advertising on social media or otherwise ,or use of puppets.
We reserve the right to cancel our services should we discover that a venue is unsuitable or unsafe to work in. In these circumstances, no refund will be made.
It is your responsibility to inform THE PARTY PUPPETS of any changes of venue as soon as possible by email.
THE PARTY PUPPETS requires the client to seek the approval of the venue for the performance to take place. THE PARTY PUPPETS will provide proof of public liability insurance to the venue owner upon request.
Adequate parking must be provided as close to the event as possible.
If the party is at a hired venue you must guarantee parking within 30 metres of the venue and pay all charges.
Parking charges (including metered parking) will be payable by you. Please inform the THE PARTY PUPPETS of any parking restrictions at the time of booking. Parking at, or as near to, the venue as possible is essential for the performance to take place as equipment including speakers, props and puppets need to be carried.
Outside venues are subject to the weather and this includes rain, temperature, wind and wet grounds. We reserve the right to assess the area first. Please allow a place in the shade or undercover for THE PARTY PUPPETS performer and equipment.
For parties that are taking place outdoors a suitable indoor alternative should be provided in case of bad weather.
The performance fee will be forfeited in case of cancellations due to bad weather where no alternate space has been provided.
Every effort is made to ensure that THE PARTY PUPPETS arrives at the given time. Unfortunately, we cannot accept responsibility for circumstances beyond our control including weather and traffic.
If we incur any problems once travelling to you, we will inform you by telephone/SMS where possible. We accept no responsibility for ANY FORM OF TRAVEL DISRUPTIONS including traffic jams, breakdown (including us), accidents, extreme weather conditions or any other means beyond our control. We recommend you have your mobile with you at all times on the day in case we need to contact you.
Last minute cancellations or postponements mean that THE PARTY PUPPETS cannot take alternative booking for that date & time.
Cancellations by the client MUST be notified in writing via email. SMS, text or telephone messages will not be accepted. The deposit is non refundable and if a cancellation is made within 14 days of the event date, all money paid will be forfeited.
Events can be postponed prior to the event (at least 7 days notice is required) and will incur an additional fee of 50 and are subject to availability of alternative dates.
Last minute cancellations or postponements also mean that THE PARTY PUPPETS preparation time (including rehearsals, prep of puppets and costumes, and customising your show) have been wasted.
THE PARTY PUPPETS may consider a partial refund in exceptional circumstances only.
THE PARTY PUPPETS is covered by public liability insurance.
ADVERTISING BY THE CLIENT
Any advertising by the client in the press, TV, Radio, Social Media, In-house, or other forms of advertising MUST include reference to the full name: THE PARTY PUPPETS, and should (unless allowed by previous agreement) include THE PARTY PUPPETS logo. Use of the generic phrase 'puppets', 'puppet show' is not acceptable and may result in cancellation of the booking.
Any disputes or conflicts will be governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
As there will be plenty of photo opportunities during the show you are permitted to take photographs or videos. THE PARTY PUPPETS ask that you credit or tag all photos with '@THEPARTYPUPPETS' or '#THEPARTYPUPPETS' if posted on social media sites.
You are prohibited from using any of our intellectual property for business use or to recreate any of our copyrighted materials. Use of images and videos for invitations, online notifications, advertising or social media is allowed if permission is sought and must be credited to: www.thepartypuppets.com
